BINJO - What is isiah 45:7? I cant understand why God created evil?

JOEL - Here is the verse: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things." (Isaiah 45: 7)
First of all, evil as it relates to sin, canot be created. It is a concept that has existed eternally and was therefore uncreated. So even the Devil did not create evil, but it does come from him. That is made clear in Moro. 7:12: "That which is evil cometh of the devil."
Because evil cannot be created the Lord is not the originator of it. To understand this verse better, evil can also mean ill fortune, trial, or difficulty, afflictions and punishments. These can be created or controlled by God as He tests us and directs what happens to us in this life. Consider the New International Version of this verse which says, "I bring prosperity and create disaster."
Job suggested this idea of the duality of God's power when he said, "Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" (Job 2:10). As the New International Version puts it: "Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"
The point of Isaiah 45:7 seems to be that God is in charge: he has power over all things and directs the affairs of men to their ultimate good.
