NONIE - If you never accepted the gospel, blinded by the craftiness of men, will you realize that the Church was true when Jesus Christ comes again? Will you realize that all those trying to teach you were right after all and not feel like you you were right as well. I guess I'm asking if you will definitely know, without a doubt, that you did not get it and all those Mormons had the truth all along. I'm wondering how much of an impact it will have on someone when they realize the truth. Some people even now think the truth does not matter, that we will all end up in the same place anyway as long as you believe in Jesus.

JOEL - At the second coming of Christ all those wicked people who are destined to inherit the Telestial kingdom will be burned (D&C 101:24-25). They most likely would not have accepted Christ as their Savior anyway. For all others who remain, the good non-Christian people of the earth, who are doubters of the mission of Jesus Christ, will most likely still doubt for a while after He comes, simply because of their own long held beliefs, which they will certainly still have their agency to live by.
I am sure many Christians of other faiths will have a Homer Simpson moment: Doh !!!! and accept Christ's true gospel immediately, especially those who were taught it previously but rejected it at first. However, other Christians, while they might recognize Jesus Christ, will at first also hold on to their current beliefs for a while. But in the end everyone, Christian and non-Christian, will eventually come to know and accept Jesus as their Savior and King and recognize his true Gospel.

Here are some things Brigham Young said:

"When all nations are so subdued to Jesus that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess, there will still be millions on the earth who will not believe in him; but they will be obliged to acknowledge his kingly government".(Discourses of Brigham Young p. 115)

"The order of society will be as it is when Christ comes to reign a thousand years; there will be every sort of sect and party, and every individual following what he supposes to be the best in religion, and in everything else, similar to what it is now." (Brigham Young, JD 2:316.)

"In the millennium men will have the privilege of being Presbyterians, Methodists or Infidels, but they will not have the privilege of treating the name and character of Deity as they have done heretofore. No, but every knee shall bow and every tongue confess to the glory of God the Father that Jesus is the Christ (Mosiah 27: 31)." (Brigham Young, JD 12:274.)

President Joseph Fielding Smith said:
"Some members of the Church have an erroneous idea that when the millennium comes all of the people are going to be swept off the earth except righteous members of the Church. That is not so. There will be millions of people, Catholics, Protestants, agnostics, Mohammedans, people of all classes, and of all beliefs, still permitted to remain upon the face of the earth, but they will be those who have lived clean lives, those who have been free from wickedness and corruption. All who belong, by virtue of their good lives, to the terrestrial order, as well as those who have kept the celestial laws, will remain upon the face of the earth during the millennium. Eventually, however, the knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters do the sea. But there will be need for the preaching of the gospel, after the millennium is brought in, until all men are either converted or pass away." (Church News, Nov. 3, 1934; Doctrines of Salvation, 1:86)

So it appears the acceptance of Jesus and His Gospel might be mostly a gradual thing that will happen during the millennium. For some reason it won't be so immediately obvious to everyone, but I am sure will be for many others. Many Christians also believe in the second coming of Christ, the Rapture, and the Millenial reign, so those events won't be such a surprise to them. What might be surprising to them is when Christ directs His true gospel to be preached across the world. They will still have their agency to reject it, but that would have to be a hard thing to do.

Most people of other Christian faiths do believe that they will be saved, regardless of what religion they belong to; and they are right in a sense. They will be saved, but not to the same place, but rather to some level of heaven that will not include exaltation into the Celestial Kingdom, unless they accept the full and true gospel of Jesus Christ.
